The Resort
|
The base for our breathtaking programme of activities is the Brianconnaise region of the southern French Alps. The area is situated only 100 miles north of Cannes and the Mediterranean coast. Its southerly position and a unique microclimate make the region's claim to over 300 days of sunshine a year well founded.
Serre Chevalier is a perfect setting for an activity holiday with the location of all sports easily accessible. It has featured in the TJM Mountain Adventure Programme since 1993.
TJM's presence in Montgenevre dates to 1992. The village, set at an altitude of 1850 metres, is picturesque and appeals to those who demand a true mountain environment. The town is an old border crossing with the Italian frontier just metres from the hotel and the nearest Italian village, Claviere, a short walk away.

Activities
TJM offer an exhilarating range of activities in our mountain programme. These include a breathtaking white water raft descent, a thrilling high ropes course at the Adventure Parc, as well as canoeing, climbing, mountain biking and a mountain walk. There are also opportunities to extend your programme include activities such as summer skiing or canyoning at Via Ferrata.
These additional activities usually attract a supplement, see our current prices for details. |
Accommodation
In Serre Chevalier, Le Sporting is perfectly situated as a base for our mountain activities. The river Guisane, our preferred rafting venue, flows directly in front of the hotel. The lake where canoeing takes place is 300 metres in front to the left and the exciting high ropes trails of the Adventure Parc are a similar distance to the right. Virtually in front is the crag that provides the venue for climbing.
Set in the heart of Montgenevre is Hotel La Grange, which offers good value accommodation with character and atmosphere. The hotel has nearly all rooms en suite, the majority being four-bedded made up of two pairs of large pine bunks.
The bar at La Grange dates back to the beginning of the century and still retains some original features. It offers a great setting for many of our evening entertainments and is a natural focal point for most groups.
Hotels are offered on an unnamed basis. |
