Assistant Chef

Responsibilities

  • Preparing food.
  • Cooking under supervision of head chef and alone.
  • Assisting head chef in maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Deputising for head chef on days off.
  • Covering other kitchen staff on days off.
  • Assisting in other areas of the hotel on changeover days.
  • Help with other hotel and resort duties as required by the manager.

Minimum requirements

  • Honesty and integrity.
  • No criminal record.
  • Previous cooking experience, and enthusiasm for cooking.
  • Knowledge of health and food hygiene procedures.
  • Flexible.
  • Cheerful and outgoing.
  • Smart conventional appearance.
  • Positive team member.
  • Demonstrate initiative.

The employee will be required to provide

  • One set of chef's whites.
  • Contribution towards cost of uniform.

Duration
